Axian

Axian is a diversified pan-African group based in Madagascar, with a strong presence across the Indian Ocean and the African continent. Originally founded as a textile manufacturer in the 1950s, the company has evolved into a multi-sector conglomerate operating in telecommunications, financial services, energy, real estate, and innovation. It is wholly owned by Hassanein Hiridjee and governed by a seven-member board.

The group’s telecommunications subsidiary, Axian Telecom, provides services and mobile money solutions to over 15 million subscribers in several African markets. Axian Investment, the financial services arm, focuses on venture capital investments in startups, particularly in fintech and logistics. The company also has a significant real estate portfolio and is involved in various energy projects. Axian actively supports innovation by investing in new technologies and startups across Africa, contributing to the continent's economic growth.
