Blacks in Cybersecurity

Blacks In Cybersecurityâ„¢ (BIC) is an Information Technology and Services organization based in the Washington, D.C. area, founded in 2018. It operates as a conference series and networking group dedicated to supporting the Black community in cybersecurity. Led by CEO Tristan White, BIC has a team of about 21 employees and focuses on encouraging participation, promoting advancement, and enhancing cultural representation of Black professionals in cybersecurity and the broader STEM fields.

BIC organizes various events, including cybersecurity conferences and workshops, which provide valuable insights and networking opportunities for attendees at all career stages. The organization also hosts technical training sessions, such as Capture The Flag competitions and AI security compliance training, aimed at skill development. Through its networking and community-building efforts, BIC helps Black cybersecurity professionals connect and grow their careers while emphasizing accountability and transparency in its operations.
