RethinkDB

RethinkDB is an open-source, distributed document-oriented database designed for real-time web applications that need continuously updated query results. Founded in 2009, it evolved from an SSD-optimized storage engine for MySQL into a JSON document database management system with dynamic schemas. The database was open-sourced in 2012 and became production-ready in 2015.
