Virbela is a technology company founded in 2012, specializing in immersive virtual worlds that support remote work, learning, and events. Headquartered in San Diego, CA, the company was established by behavioral psychologists Alex Howland and Ron Rembisz, stemming from research at the University of California San Diego. Virbela has expanded significantly, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now employs over 170 people.
