Kapwing

Kapwing is a cloud-native video creation and editing platform based in San Francisco, founded in 2017 by Julia Enthoven and Eric Lu, who are both former Google Image Search engineers. The platform aims to make digital storytelling easier and more accessible for everyone, from individual creators to large media companies.

Kapwing offers a browser-based suite of tools that allows users to edit videos without the need for heavy software or complex keyboard shortcuts. This non-linear editing workflow operates entirely in the cloud, making it convenient for users. Since its launch, over 30 million videos have been created on the platform. Kapwing has successfully raised approximately $12.7 million to $14.4 million in funding, with notable investors including Kleiner Perkins and January Ventures.
